"Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer." - Maya Angelou

This Thanksgiving we are immensely excited and honoured to share our space with Andrew Begay, who will be offering live music, ancient stories and healing vibrations to the table. Served alongside 12 dishes* of soul full food by Slap Ya Papa, inspired by the plentiful plates of Louisiana, this will indeed be a very special Thanksgiving celebration. Guests will also be treated to a complimentary cocktail by Mama Xanadu.

Andrew was raised in the Dine' Native American family, growing up as a sheep herder on the land. The ceremonies he carries are passed down the family line, earned, and gifted. This is a rare opportunity to experience the richness of Native American Culture directly, with a man who serves as a bridge between his ancient, living culture and a modern experience of life. Andrew will be playing his flute as well as sharing the stories of his ancestors alongside the gongs of Bear Love, his collaborator and friend.

We will be sharing proceeds of the night with three charities:

Stand with Standing Rock
The Oceti Sakowin Camp is a historic gathering of tribes, allies and people from all walks of life standing in solidarirty to halt the Dakota Access Pipeline. We support their endeavour to "explore longer term ways to meet the needs of the community that is 100% off-the-grid and features Solar & Wind power generation".

Cultural Survival
Cultural Survival works on the front lines of advocacy to inform international indigenous communities of their rights, issues and threats affecting their communities. We support their belief that "vibrant and durable communities rest on the principles of self-determination, human rights, informed citizenry and access to information, the freedom of expression, and the right to organize and shape the future in a way consistent with one’s tradition, language, culture and community".

Del Pueblo Para el Pueblo

An evening to celebrate what we are thank full for!

“A grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts to itself great things.” - Plato

* 8 of the 12 dishes are Vegan, 10 Vegetarian. All meat, fish & dairy sourced ethically within the UK.
